Check Aadhar card status online


UIDAI has implemented the online Aadhaar card status investigation process on its official website. Any Aadhaar cardholder can view and check the Aadhaar status online. On UIDAI’s official residence website, users can check whether their Aadhaar card is being created or updated. For that, they need Reference no UIDAI provides them. The reference number is called SRN, URN or ARN depending on the type of application.

Step 1 – Visit the UIDAI Residence Portal

The first step to verify the status of the Aadhaar card is to visit the official residence portal. The web address for UIDAI’s residential portal is https://resident.uidai.gov.in/check-aadhaar. When you look at that link, you will see the option to check the status of the Aadhaar card.

Step 2 – Enter the EID number in the form

The registration number is written on the application receipt that you need to get from the Aadhar Card Registration Center. The EID is printed in the following format – 1234/12345/12345. The EID is a 14 digit number divided into three sections.

Step 3 – Write down the joining date and time

In the form, next to the EID, you will need to enter the Aadhaar card enrollment date and time. To verify the status, you must enter the correct time as indicated on the approval receipt. The date is in DD / MM / YYYY format and the time is in HH / MM / SS format. Do not enter the interval between date and time.

Step 4 – Check the captcha code

After entering the EID number and date / time, you need to go to the second part of the Aadhaar Card Status Inquiry Form. You will see a verification image printed with some alpha-number codes. Enter the correct code in the form next to the captcha. Be sure to enter the correct captcha text printed to verify the source status.

Step 5 – Click on the blue button there

Once completed, the application must be submitted. To do so, click on the ‘Check status’ button at the bottom of the page. Once you click the button, UIDAI’s website will check the details entered and show the current status of the Aadhaar card application.

You can check the Aadhaar card status online using the Residence Portal. Although UIDAI runs most of the Aadhaar card related services on its website, there are many instances where you find it difficult.
